How easily can we replace the trees our mailer use?

For every 10,000 mailers you send out via Pebble, equivalent to 1 tree, we’ll be donating 5 trees.

It’s no secret that land investing uses a lot of paper.

Sending mailers is one of the most effective, and therefore the most widely used, method of generating seller leads to acquire land

It’s easy to click a few buttons, create a campaign and wait for those leads to pour in.

But how much real paper does each of those efforts require?

Furthermore, how many pieces of paper does one tree even produce?

Between 10,000 and 20,000 sheets of paper (you can find a nifty calculator here).

That might not sound like a lot to some but think about how many of us send out 10-20k mailers within just a couple of months.

That’s 1 tree, every 2 months. 6 trees per year, per investor!

Now consider how many land (and real estate) investors are doing the same nationwide. The National Association of Realtors, for example, has 1.5 million members. If half of them send that many mailers, we’re looking at 4.5 million trees a year.

After years in land investing, it’s inevitable to take down a good number of trees.

The question is, can we make up for all of that used paper and offset our future usage? Without having to go out and plant the trees ourselves?

Yes, we sure can!

20 million trees? No Problem

#TeamTrees was started back in 2019 by a couple of the world’s most successful YouTubers with a straightforward mission:

Plant 20 million trees.

1 dollar = 1 tree.

As of the date we published this piece, over 19 million trees have been planted and nearly 24 million trees have been funded overall.

Best part? There’s absolutely no sign of slowing down.

A feel-good story at a time when we can desperately use one.

#TeamTrees partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3), to ensure the trees are planted where they’re actually needed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. It’s not just haphazard planting.

It’s worth noting that this is a global initiative with planting projects happening on all continents; except for that tree-less one down south.

The project has captured some noticeable attention with the CEO of Salesforce donating 900,000 trees, Elon Musk donating 1 million trees and the CEO of Shopify topping everyone with 1 million and 1.

Something to keep in mind as per Harvard University; every year “more than 100 million trees’ worth of bulk mail arrive in American mailboxes – that’s the equivalent of deforesting the entire Rocky Mountain National Park every four months.”

Every little bit counts.

How Pebbler's are helping

Mailers aren’t going to magically go out of style tomorrow, so we want to act today.

We’ll be taking action on behalf of all of our users because more trees on the planet is better for everyone; better for the environment and they make that land you’re buying look better too.

What does that look like?

Well, it certainly doesn’t mean limiting your mail or your ability to reach as many leads as you want.

It means that for every 10,000 mailers you send out via Pebble, equivalent to 1 tree, we’ll be donating 5 trees.

Send as much mail as you need to capitalize on opportunities and we’ll do more than just replace those trees. We’ll add 5 times more.

In other words, the more you mail, the more we plant!

We can’t change the past but we can certainly help grow a better future together.
